Is this a bug? Ambiguity of two artists

Posted under Bugs & Features

I found that artist:akai has ambiguity of two artists:

Early, alias of artist:akai_(ugokashitari) but just 2posts
Lately, alias of artist:riaakai, artist:akai_(riaakai) and 8posts in this tag.

When i tried 'Create new artist entry' artist:akai, i just found 'Error undefined method `[]' for nil:NilClass'

How to solve this problem? Can I rename every artist:akai to artist:riaakai or akai_(ugokashitari) ?

if the site alias worked then yeah but otherwise you will have to manually do it one by one

Also there is a way to greatly speed up mass tag editing. It's not quite automatic, but it's powerful.

Click to any multi-picture screen.

On the left sidebar is a dropdown called "Mode". This determines what happens when you click on any of the pictures on the page. You want to change this to Tag Script.

In the edit box you describe what tags you want to change. Preface a tag with "-" to remove it. Preface it with nothing to add it. Then when you click on a image, these edits get applied. It does not work all the time, but it works most of the time. On a page of 20 image, click them all to apply your edit to every one. And if you are on the page for a tag that you are removing, then just reload to get another set of 20.

Be sure to change your mode back to view when you are done, or else it is super easy to apply your tag edits to other images when you happen to click on them later.
