Why is not_furry a tag?

Posted under Tags

Simply not adding the furry tag would imply it is not furry, right? Or am I missing something?

I guess the same would apply to the "trio" tag. Isn't that already covered under multiple_girls? It does say two or more, not two or four or more.

Might as well merge "virtual_youtuber" with "vtuber" I would think. See them predominantly on Twitch as opposed to YT anyhow. That is my experience, at least.

What you are missing is that this site gets submissions where people cut&paste in the tags from other sites. I believe that the non_furry tag likely comes from the E621 site, which is a furry site. There are a lot of species-specific tags that come from there as well.

vtuber only had 4 images compared with 800+ in virtual youtuber. Super easy choice there for which tag lives and which dies. Merge done.

Also "virtual youtuber" is a fairly generic term, despite having the company name in it.

I can also see the "everyone" tag is being heavily misused.

In general if you see a tag being misused it is easy enough to remove it yourself.

A lot of users then and now just copy & paste tags from other sites and don't bother to change them/edit them appropriately. There's honestly a ton of redundant and useless tags on here that I don't think we can realistically get rid of. Just like Leortha said, if you see a misused or useless tag, just get rid of it and/or replace it with an appropriate one.
